Wow…it has been quite a hectic few weeks but it all came together. Thanks to all my friends and family for their support, help with set up, translation (believe it or not) and for keeping the secret for so long.

I am so happy that the sun was shining and the wind was blowing and Lucy had no clue that we were going to spend our 3000th day (8.2 years) anniversary the way we did.

I must confess that I was a little reluctant to be recorded. I am fine with photos and video, but as you may have heard in the video above (created by the talented Norris Wong), the carefully crafted words that I had planned to use to propose became a pile of mush when Lucy was in front of me with her big ear to ear smile. I did not even finish the ever so important “will you marry me” part!!! This morning Lucy also mentioned that she did not actually say “Yes” to my proposal to which I asked her again, and she accepted with “I will”.

I was out for meetings this afternoon so Lucy was at home. When Norris texted us about the video of yeterday’s event I called Lucy and on ichat, we both watched it together. Here is a reaction shot I happen to take…
