eEarlier this month, Lucy and I had the opportunity to document a very unique event. This event was a great place for Alumni to connect and reconnect with each other as well as celebrate all things Ivey. What made this event unique was that it was being celebrated in over 20 different cities, from Africa, Beijing, Dubai, Germany, Hong Kong, London, India and Shanghai just to name a few.
The event began with an award ceremony that recognized emerging leaders in various fields. Among the many awards, Joshua Silvertown’s caught my attention the most. Josh was awarded the Ivey emerging leader in community advancement for his company, DreamCatcher Mentoring, which brings e-mentoring and leadership programs to high school students. I think that is pretty cool! Check out the other winners here.
After the award ceremony there was no shortage of entertainment from the The University of Western’s own live Jazz band, to Canadian Idol contestant Mookie from Mookie and the Loyalists as well as some really cool ribbon dancing and live art. Furthermore, the food catered by Daniel et Daniel was simply amazing!!! Here are some of the images of the evening!
