Thought that I would lure you in with one of my shiny ring shots before having you read about Jaci and Lawrence’s wedding which I assisted Ron with on September 13, 2008.  The Double Tree Hotel by the airport was the venue for the majority of the wedding, the getting ready photos, the ceremony and the reception which was exceptionally nice.  This is one of my favorites of the day. So we were waiting for the elevator, it was an overcast kind of day and a ton of light was spilling through those windows so I needed to take advantage of the situation. I did not want to disrupt the schedule but I knew that I would regret it if I did not take the shot. Ron was cool and let me do my own thing which was awesome. Setting up for this, I must say that I was a little impatient and excited. Any second the doors to the elevators could open so every moment counted. This put my knowledge of camera settings and metering to the test and although technically there are things I could have improved (there is always room for improvement), I am happy I got this shot. I love how Jaci was looking at Lawrence. The bridesmaid in the back is Lawrence’s sister and she was tearing which was so sweet. If I recall correctly this was right before Lawrence uttered those two little words………..…..i do.This was fun and unconventional. For the creatives, Ron took the wedding party to Woodbine Centre & Fantasy Fair. I remember I used to come here as a kid and it was the greatest mall ever! It had a Ferris wheel, merry-go-round and tons of other cool rides. This is also another type of venue I strongly suggest brides to consider as it brings something fresh and dynamic that translates well for photos and you can relax and just be a kid again!
